Spandau via Tegeler forest

Description

This route takes us in ± 40 km from our meeting point in Berlin's centre to the old town of Spandau. We take the most car(e)free routes out of the city, along creeks, forests, rivers and some the most beautiful stretches of the Mauerweg (following the course of the Berlin Wall). Along the way we visit some fascinating sights, such as: >> The Soviet war memorial at Schönholzer Heide >> Mauerpark and the spot where the Berlin wall fell >> Reinickendorf with its Rathaus and medieval church >> The wonderful nature of Tegelerfließ >> Spandau with its famous citadel and infamous prison With a lunch break on the way, we'll arrive at Spandau around 16:00, where the tour officially ends. From here you can travel back with your bike by S/U-bahn or train, or bike back for another ± 20 km. We'd like to offer this tour on basis of donation, so that everyone can join: depending on your financial situation, we suggest an amount in the range of 10 - 30 euro. The booking is free of charge, donations can be transfered by Paypal before or after the tour, or at some point during the tour in cash.
